Volleyball Recap: Nature Coast Tech Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Nature Coast Tech extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Talia Bateman. Everything went the Sharks' way against the Hernando Leopards on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 win with plenty of help from Bateman, who had 16 digs and two aces. Bateman is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 20 every time she's taken the court this season.

While Nature Coast Tech won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 28-26.

Nature Coast Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adalei Harmon, who had ten digs.

Nature Coast Tech was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hernando only served six aces.

Despite the defeat, Hernando had strong showings from Lilymae Bates, who had ten digs and eight assists, and Katie Charlow, who had 13 digs, two blocks, and two aces.

Nature Coast Tech now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hernando, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.

Nature Coast Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Citrus on the 2nd. As for Hernando, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Lecanto on the 2nd.
