Las Vegas hadn't done well against Basic recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Las Vegas was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Aaliyah Jones paced Las Vegas' offense, picking up 23 kills. Jones got some help from Millie Mangum and her 33 assists. Mangum was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The win made it two in a row for Las Vegas and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Basic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Las Vegas will be taking part in a tournament against Shadow Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Basic will be paying especially close attention to the Wildcats' game: after the Wildcats face off against the Mustangs, they'll take on Basic again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
