Softball Recap: Baldwin Park Sets Scoring Season-High Against Azusa

Baldwin Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Azusa Aztecs, falling 20-6. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Braves' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Aaliyah Sanchez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Edie Arvizuv, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Baldwin Park's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Azusa, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Baldwin Park will take on rival Sierra Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Azusa is set to challenge their familiar foe Garey at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
