Soccer Game Preview: Spring vs. Nimitz

The Spring Lions will head out to face off against the Nimitz Cougars at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Spring is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Spring duked it out with Dekaney on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Nimitz and Benjamin Davis finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

Spring's loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1. With that draw, Nimitz's record moves to 1-5-3.

Spring got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against Nimitz by a conclusive 6-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
