Basketball Recap: Washington School for the Deaf Terriers vs. Pe Ell Trojans
Washington School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Pe Ell Trojans and fell 53-21. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Terriers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 72-31 back in December of 2024.

Washington School for the Deaf's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kadyn Carver, who posted eight points. Carver is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was La'Juan Malone, who scored ten points and four steals.
Pe Ell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Harris out in front who went 7 for 12 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. Those 14 points gave Harris a new career-high. Liam Lennox also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.
Washington School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Pe Ell, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Washington School for the Deaf has already played their next game (against Wahkiakum), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pe Ell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-40 loss against Willapa Valley on the 25th.
