Volleyball Recap: Stevenson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Belleville last Tuesday, Stevenson came back down to earth. The Spartans fell 3-1 to the Northville Mustangs on Tuesday. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Stevenson had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 14-25, 25-22, 25-18.

Giselle Burlingame was nothing short of spectacular for Northville: she had 26 digs and two assists. Those 26 digs gave Burlingame a new career-high. Kate Byers was another key player, getting nine digs and two assists.

Stevenson has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-17 record this season. As for Northville, they pushed their record up to 17-11 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Stevenson will challenge Flat Rock at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northville, they will take on Mercy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
