Orange Lutheran faced Santa Margarita in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Lancers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Eagles a 3-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for the Lancers, who have now won four games in a row.

Not much got past Colt Peterson, who gave up just two hits to keep Santa Margarita off the board. Peterson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Orange Lutheran saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trevor Deack, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Deack a new career-high.

Orange Lutheran's record is now 15-4. As for Santa Margarita, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-8.
