Football Recap: Andrew Jackson Tigers vs. KIPP Bold City Greyhounds
Andrew Jackson had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds 47-12 on the road. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Jamarian Dixon had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 67 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 150 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes. Amari Anderson was another key player, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Although KIPP Bold City took the loss, they still got scores from Bishop Borger and Tyler Tindal.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrew Jackson will host Ribault at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for KIPP Bold City, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against First Coast at 6:30 p.m.
