Pantego Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Covenant Knights as they made off with an 8-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 last Tuesday.

Pantego Christian pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Covenant, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Pantego Christian will take on Northside Falcons HomeSchool at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.6, the Falcons 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Covenant, they will face off against Bishop Lynch at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
