Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newport). They came out on top against the St. Henry Crusaders on Monday by a score of 17-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the match before.

Newport's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for St. Henry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, Newport and St. Henry will both be playing Lloyd Memorial the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Juggernauts at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Crusaders will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
