Alexander Central has gone  a perfect 10-0 against Watauga recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Tuesday. The Cougars will face off against the Pioneers at 6:00  p.m. Alexander Central will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak.
Alexander Central proved they can win big  on Saturday (they won by 13) and  on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Piedmont, sneaking past  6-4.
Meanwhile, Watauga lost  16-5 to South Caldwell on Friday. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Chloe Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Julie Matheson also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
 Alexander Central pushed their record up to 16-1 with the  win, which was their 17th straight  at home dating back to last season. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.8 runs this season. As for Watauga, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
 Everything went Alexander Central's way against Watauga when the teams last played  back in March, as Alexander Central made off with  an  11-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
