Basketball Recap: Kearney Catholic Falls Despite Big Games from Danielle Seim and Kendyl O'hare

If Kearney Catholic was riding high fresh off their 52-23 takedown of Lincoln Lutheran last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kearney Catholic Stars lost 56-31 to the Scotus Shamrocks on Tuesday. The Stars have struggled against the Shamrocks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Kearney Catholic's loss came despite strong showings from Kendyl O'Hare and Danielle Seim. O'Hare posted seven points, while Seim had seven points and five rebounds. Kaelin Key also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Kearney Catholic now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Scotus, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Kearney Catholic has already played their next matchup (against Hershey), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Scotus will be playing at home against Bishop Neumann on Thursday. Bishop Neumann will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Scotus surely won't give up without a fight.
