Gibbs won the last time they faced Northeast and things went their way on Wednesday too. Everything went the Gibbs Gladiators' way against the Northeast Vikings as the Gibbs Gladiators made off with a 59-33 win. The Gladiators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Several Vikings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jy'Aira Washington, who went 8 for 18 en route to 18 points and five boards. The contest was Washington's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Geniya Fisher, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Gibbs and bumps their season record up to 5-11. As for Northeast, they moved to 8-12 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibbs won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lakewood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lakewood will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Gibbs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northeast, they will take on Pinellas Park at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
