Volleyball Recap: Western Warriors vs. Pahrump Valley Trojans

Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Pahrump Valley Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-12.

Pahrump Valley found their leader in underclassman Sedona Norton, who had ten digs and seven aces. The dominant performance gave Norton a new career-high in aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryn Mazlo, who had seven digs and three aces.

Western's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Pahrump Valley, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

Western didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory vs. Valley on the 24th. After both having extra time off, Pahrump Valley and Sports Leadership & Management will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
