Recap: Cameron Dragons vs. Lawson Cardinals
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bishop LeBlond, the Cameron Dragons were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They managed a 50-44 victory over Lawson. For Cameron, this counts as revenge for the 67-38 loss Lawson walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Lawson's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andrew Phipps, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brogan Crawford, who scored 12 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Cameron's win bumped their record up to 3-15. As for Lawson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cameron will take on Stewartsville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawson, they will be playing at home against Savannah at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Savannah is ranked 335th, while Lawson is ranked 341st).
