            Baseball Recap: St. Edward Green Wave vs. Chicago Christian Knights        
        
		
        
        
            St. Edward had lost eight straight on the road, but  on Thursday they dropped their record down to 0-16 to make it nine. They lost  19-4 to the Chicago Christian Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Green Wave of the  9-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2024.
  Zach Wojtas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run.
As for Chicago Christian,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 11-6. Considering they have won six matchups by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
 On Chicago Christian's side,  Christian Flutman was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and two  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  Flutman has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of  Josh Sedakis, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Edward will face off against Aurora Christian at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Chicago Christian, they will challenge Crossroads Christian at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
