Basketball Game Preview: Hudson Hornets vs. Palestine Wildcats

The Hudson Hornets will head out to face off against the Palestine Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Hudson was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to Bullard. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Palestine came into Friday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They secured a 59-54 W over Rusk on Friday.

Palestine's win came from a few key players Hudson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Thomas Edwards, who went 5 for 10 en route to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Mitchell, who posted 15 points and three steals.

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Palestine, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 13-13.

Hudson strolled past Palestine in their previous matchup on January 10th by a score of 52-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hudson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
