Basketball Recap: Early County Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Early County extended their road winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Ken Parham. The Early County Bobcats took down the Pelham Hornets 56-41 on Friday thanks in part to Parham, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 19 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards. Early County is 10-3 when Williams posts ten or more rebounds, but 2-3 otherwise.

Pelham's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dorian Williams, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Kevin Taylor, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points.

Early County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points per game. As for Pelham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Early County will head out to face off against Terrell County at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Terrell County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season. As for Pelham, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-54 win against Mitchell County on the 18th.
