Volleyball Recap: Buena Vista's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Buena Vista proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Meeker Cowboys. The victory was familiar territory for the Demons, who have now won five matches in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Buena Vista who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 15-13.

When it comes to explaining why Meeker lost, don't look at Keelan Dade. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs.

Buena Vista's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Meeker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8.

Coincidentally, Buena Vista and Meeker will both be playing Middle Park the next time they take the court. The Cowboys will head out to face the Panthers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Demons will play them later in the day, at 11:30 a.m.
