Basketball Recap: Ball Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kalyn Toussaint and Braeon Arceneaux

Ball was the 71-48 winner over Angleton when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ball Tornadoes fell to the Angleton Wildcats 46-41. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braeon Arceneaux and Kalyn Toussaint certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Arceneaux posted 12 points along with seven steals and six rebounds, while Toussaint had 17 points. Arceneaux is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played.

Even though they lost, Ball smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 16 consecutive matches.

Ball now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Angleton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-9.

Ball will face off against Iowa Colony at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ball is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season. As for Angleton, they will take on Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Fe will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Angleton surely won't give up without a fight.
