Baseball Recap: Antioch Takes a Loss

Antioch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Cane Ridge Ravens, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 26-3 last Tuesday.

Antioch's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Cane Ridge, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antioch will venture away from home to square off against Ezell-Harding Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cane Ridge, they will head out to challenge Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Ravens will no doubt try to take advantage of.
