Baseball Game Preview: Hackensack Comets vs. Ramsey Rams

The Hackensack Comets will take on the Ramsey Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ramsey is facing Hackensack at the wrong time: Hackensack suffered their first home loss of the season on Wednesday and they're likely out for redemption. They lost 10-2 to the Raiders.

Hackensack saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Feehan, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Raffy Mejia also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Ramsey entered their contest against Pascack Hills on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rams fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rams have suffered against the Cowboys since June 2, 2023.

Roberto Cotes was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex DeSimone, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Ramsey's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Hackensack, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
