Tates Creek came into Tuesday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Boone County Rebels on Tuesday. The Commodores' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Tates Creek's win bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Boone County, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Tates Creek and Boone County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. The Commodores will face off against Lexington Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (161 vs. 50). Meanwhile, Boone County (ranked 166th) will meet Ryle (ranked 45th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
