Baseball Recap: Crescent Takes a Loss

Crescent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tonkawa Buccaneers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Crescent now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Tonkawa, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crescent will host Pioneer-Pleasant Vale at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tonkawa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Tonkawa's pitchers better be ready for this one: Fairview has averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
