Softball Recap: Mesquite Takes a Loss

Mesquite lost against Marcos de Niza back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wildcats took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Padres. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mesquite saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Penelope Schrader, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Mesquite's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Marcos de Niza, their record is now 12-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mesquite will take on Mingus at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Marcos de Niza, they will square off against Maryvale at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
