Basketball Recap: Durango Comes Up Short

Durango lost against Green Valley back in November of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Durango Trailblazers took a 36-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Valley Gators. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Among those leading the charge was Sabbra Shirley, who posted ten points. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jazmine Ramirez, who earned 12 points and five rebounds.

Durango's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Green Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Durango will take on Sunrise Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Durango is facing Sunrise Mountain at the right time seeing as Sunrise Mountain is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Green Valley, they will head out to challenge Silverado at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Valley will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Silverado will have lost five straight heading into Tuesday's match.
