There's no place like home for West Jefferson, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Salmon Savages 63-6. With the Panthers ahead 42-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Mac Hall was his usual excellent self, rushing for 105 yards and three scores on only five carries, while also picking up 62 receiving yards and one touchdown. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble and made five total tackles (1.0 for loss). Justus Burtenshaw was another key rusher, rushing for 158 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: West Jefferson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 391 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 197 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

West Jefferson pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40 points. As for Salmon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

West Jefferson has already played their next contest, a 47-6 victory against Firth on the 17th. As for Salmon, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Ririe at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 11.3 points per game this season, so the Savages' offense will have their work cut out for them.
