Football Recap: North Brunswick Takes a Loss + How To Watch

North Brunswick and Wake Forest squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but North Brunswick had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 59-28 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Despite the loss, North Brunswick still got an impressive performance from Jonah Campbell, who threw for 195 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 32 yards and one touchdown. Kylel Hansley also helped out with an impressive 111 receiving yards.

Micah Olu had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 260 yards and six scores while picking up 13.0 yards per carry, and also catching one touchdown for Wake Forest. Olu is becoming a predictor of the Cougars' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 7-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Landen Perry, who threw for 135 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes.

North Brunswick's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Wake Forest, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

North Brunswick does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wake Forest, they will challenge Garner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' defense better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 35.8 points per game this season.
