Softball Recap: Madison Plains Comes Up Short

Madison Plains lost to Fairbanks back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Eagles took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madison Plains saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joy McLoughlin, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Madison Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Fairbanks, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Madison Plains will welcome Southeastern Local at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairbanks, they will square off against West Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
