Basketball Recap: Glenvar Takes a Loss

Glenvar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 33rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Floyd County Buffaloes 72-16. The Highlanders lost against the Buffaloes in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 1-0 score last time.

Glenvar's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Floyd County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Alleghany the next time they take the court. Glenvar will host Alleghany at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Floyd County will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
