MOT Charter hasn't had much luck against Newark Charter School recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Mustangs will host the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
MOT Charter is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Glasgow 18-7 on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

MOT Charter got a massive performance out of Ryder Adams, who scored three runs and stole seven bases while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Adams a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jake Wronowicz, who scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
MOT Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Newark Charter School posted their closest victory since May 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past Salesianum 5-3. The game was the first time the Patriots have beaten the Sallies on their field since April 8, 2019.
Tristan Tynan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shane Connor, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one triple. Charles Beitman was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Newark Charter School is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for MOT Charter, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. MOT Charter has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 9.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Newark Charter School struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
