Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tabernacle). They breezed past the Victory Christian Eagles to the tune of 68-12 on Friday. This was payback for the Torches, who suffered a 38-12 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Tabernacle's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4. As for Victory Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Tabernacle will look to defend their home field on the 20th against Jacksonville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Victory Christian, they will square off against Russell Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
