Freedom is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hibriten Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Freedom is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
Freedom's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Avery County as Freedom made off with a 15-0 victory. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.
Daniell Robinson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Freedom let Abigayle Gibson and Englani Campbell run wild. Gibson scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Campbell got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave Gibson a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Kaylee Skinner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Freedom kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Hibriten waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 8-3. While the Panthers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Hibriten pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Freedom, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Freedom took their win against Hibriten when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0. Does Freedom have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hibriten turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
