Softball Game Preview: Lower Moreland Lions vs. Abington Galloping Ghosts

Lower Moreland is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Abington a five-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Lower Moreland Lions will welcome the Abington Galloping Ghosts at 3:45 p.m. Lower Moreland has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lower Moreland lost 17-1 to Upper Moreland on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Abington suffered their closest loss since April 30, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Quakertown by a score of 6-4.

Mallory Beal made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those runs marked the first that she scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Meehan, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Abington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lower Moreland, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
