Basketball Recap: Jamarion Hall's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Morse over Kearny

Morse lost against Kearny back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between the Morse Tigers and the Kearny Komets didn't end well, with the Morse Tigers falling 67-53. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morse lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jamarion Hall, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. Hall has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last nine times he's played. Alex Rivera was another key player, putting up ten points.

Kearny's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Arthur Minton, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kailoa Yamamura-Haith, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

Morse now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Kearny, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

Morse didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-31 victory against Logan Memorial Education Campus on the 31st. As for Kearny, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-42 defeat against Canyon Hills on the 28th.
