Basketball Recap: Millennium Picks Up Tenth Straight Win at Home

Millennium proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 68) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Xavier College Prep Gators 57-54. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Xavier College Prep lost, don't look at Irene(Noelle) Guiamatsia. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 boards. Guiamatsia has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lucy Sanford, who posted no points along with eight assists, five boards, and four steals.

Millennium's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.2 points over those games. As for Xavier College Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-8.
