After a string of six wins, Bells's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 58-40 to the Pottsboro Cardinals. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-38 on January 3rd.

Bells' defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Pottsboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bells Panthers take on the Gunter Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bells is on a three-game streak of home wins, Gunter a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for Pottsboro, they will venture away from home to square off against Blue Ridge at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Pottsboro will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
