Basketball Recap: Fillmore Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Fillmore Flashes were beaten by the Burbank Bulldogs 87-41. While losing is never fun, the Flashes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1052nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 426th).

Fillmore has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Burbank, they pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fillmore will welcome Channel Islands at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Burbank, they will host Glendale at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
