Carson Melendy Delivers Best Effort of Season
Carson Melendy produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Churchill County to the win on Friday. Melendy rushed for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Churchill County now has a winning record of 5-4. Melendy and Churchill County will head out on the road to face off against Lowry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Valencia Made His Presence Known in Lowry's 41-14 Win
Lowry's four-game losing streak is now nothing but a memory thanks in part to Erick Valencia. Valencia was dynamite on Friday, rushing for 221 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
For the year, Valencia has averaged 157.2 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 20.75 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 127.38 rushing yards.

Truckee Wins 22nd-Straight Thanks to Jace Estabrook
Truckee picked up their 22nd consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jace Estabrook. Estabrook turned in his biggest game of the season, throwing for 167 yards and five touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes, and also rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Sparks had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Estabrook it was a similar story. Estabrook rushed for 45 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 12 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Railroaders duked it out back in October of 2023.

Another Game with at Least 130 Rushing Yards from Keeshawn Love
Keeshawn Love's rushing tear continued on Friday as he dropped his sixth-straight game with 130+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 50 yards.
Love is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Sparks on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Love saw the Railroaders), he rushed for 135 yards on only 15 carries.

Connor Peterson produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Lowry to the win on Friday. Peterson threw for 240 yards and four touchdowns.
