Odyssey Institute came tearing into Monday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Chino Valley Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Minotaur have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-10, 25-14.

Alex Coates paced Odyssey Institute's offense, picking up seven kills. Coates got some help from Allyson Sauls and her 11 assists. Isabella Mitchell and Sarah Ferguson kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with seven aces apiece.

Odyssey Institute's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Chino Valley, with the loss, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 10-13.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Odyssey Institute is set to face off against their familiar foe River Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Chino Valley will challenge rival Tonopah Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
