Lakewood hit Palisades with a five-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pumas came up short against the Gators, falling 13-2. The Pumas' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Janiya Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Palisades' loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Lakewood, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palisades will head out to square off against Ballantyne Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lakewood, they will venture away from home to face off against Lower Richland at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
