Basketball Game Preview: Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats vs. Mulberry Grove Aces

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Mulberry Grove are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Bobcats will host the Mulberry Grove Aces at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City lost 61-41 to Brownstown/St. Elmo on Thursday. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Mulberry Grove came up short against Bunker Hill on Thursday and fell 67-56. The defeat continues a trend for the Aces in their matchups with the Minutemen: they've now lost five in a row.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City will have to contain Landon Sugg as he made an impact in Mulberry Grove's last game. He dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Sugg has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last eight times he's played. Jackson Icenogle was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Mulberry Grove's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mulberry Grove when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 45-41 victory.
