Volleyball Recap: CHESS Christian Finds Home Court Redemption Against Germantown Christian

There's no place like home for CHESS Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on the Germantown Christian Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant CHESS Christian was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-9, 25-15.

CHESS Christian found their leader in sophomore Halle Carroll, who had eight aces and seven digs. Those eight aces set a new season-high mark for Carroll.

CHESS Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matches.

CHESS Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Germantown Christian, they dropped their record down to 10-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, CHESS Christian will venture away from home to square off against Hillsboro Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Germantown Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
