Basketball Recap: Collinsville Comes Up Short

Collinsville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 53-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fyffe Red Devils on Thursday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-56 back in December of 2024.

Collinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Fyffe, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collinsville will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Coosa Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st. Fyffe will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Geraldine at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
