Basketball Game Preview: Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls vs. Hot Springs Tigers

The Oak Grove Classical Academy Owls are taking a road trip to face off against the Hot Springs Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Back in December of 2024, Oak Grove Classical Academy came up short against Tularosa and fell 64-56. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite their loss, Oak Grove Classical Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Isaac Rush, who posted 18 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Nico Moore, who had 16 points.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Hot Springs' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tularosa.

Hot Springs' defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Oak Grove Classical Academy, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 5-4.
