With a playoff win on the line, Silverado rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners by a score of 7-3. The game was the first time the Skyhawks have beaten the Roadrunners on their field since May 12, 2021.

Giovanni Guariglia made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Adam Rhodus was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Marek Piekarski was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Silverado has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Southeast Career Tech, they moved to 25-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Silverado will square off against Durango at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Trailblazers will roll in looking for their 19th straight victory, something the Skyhawks surely won't give up without a fight. Southeast Career Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
