Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Takes a Loss

Trinity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Midland Classical Academy Knights and fell 62-34. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 967th, while the Knights are ranked 174th).

It was another big night for Mariah Davis, who almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, 11 rebounds, and nine steals for Midland Classical Academy. What's more, Davis also racked up three blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addie Dunn, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards.

Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Midland Classical Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-2 record this season.

Trinity Christian has already played their next contest (against Trinity), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Midland Classical Academy has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Temple Christian.
