Basketball Recap: Baldwyn Comes Up Short

After flying high against Tupelo Christian Prep on Monday, Baldwyn came back down to earth. The Bearcats lost 63-43 to the South Pontotoc Cougars on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bearcats of the 44-34 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Baldwyn's record is now 5-3. As for South Pontotoc, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Baldwyn will venture away from home to square off against Ashland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Pontotoc, they will head out to face off against New Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
