Softball Recap: Kamiak Knights vs. Edmonds-Woodway Warriors
After only two runs in their last contest, Kamiak made sure to put some runs up on the board against Edmonds-Woodway on Saturday. The Knights walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Warriors. Considering the Knights' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Gabby Veighey made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off ten hits (and only one walk). Veighey was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
