Basketball Game Preview: Ellsworth Panthers vs. Webster Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ellsworth Panthers challenge the Webster Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

While Ellsworth didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Pepin/Alma 84-47. The match marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Webster was just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 81-80 to Bayfield. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ellsworth is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.2 points per game. As for Webster, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
